Water Service Payment Assistance

Eligibility
Must have/meet:
- Total gross household income must be at or below 225% of the 2025 Federal Poverty Income Guidelines
- Paid at least $25 toward their water bill in the 180 days prior to applying for assistance
- A balance of at least $50 outstanding on account
- Must be a KY American Water customer in Kentucky
Required documents
Please bring with you:
- Proof of social security numbers for the members of the household
- Proof of all household income received in the last 30 days including pay stubs, SSI, disability, child support, etc.
- Copy of most recent water bill
- Proof of payment of at least $25 made to Kentucky American Water in the last 6 months
