Eligibility

Must have/meet: * Boyd County residents * Families with children who are 16 years of age or younger

Required documents

Please bring with you or include in application: * Photo ID of custodial parent/guardian * Social Security cards for all household members * SNAP award letter for those receiving SNAP benefits * Proof of residency (other than ID) * Updated Neighborhood Cards for the household

Description

Provides housing referrals, utility assistance for electricity, gas or water; rent assistance, emergency food, prescription assistance, birth certificate application/fee payment assistance, referrals for ID cards, baby care items and referrals to other social services as needed for individuals and families in emergency/crisis situations. Also provides holiday assistance for the Christmas season through the CAReS Giving Tree Program.
