Eligibility

Must have/meet: * Residents of service area * At risk of eviction due to rent owed * Must meet program guidelines for household income and expenses

Required documents

Please bring with you: * Current Statement from Landlord that lists the total amount of rent that is owed, how many months of rent payments are due and the rental rate per month * The most recent bill for all utilities the renter pays and the receipts to show that they have been paid * A valid Neighborhood Card

Description

Provides housing referrals, utility assistance for electricity, gas or water; rent assistance, emergency food, prescription assistance, birth certificate application/fee payment assistance, referrals for ID cards, baby care items and referrals to other social services as needed for individuals and families in emergency/crisis situations. Also provides holiday assistance for the Christmas season through the CAReS Giving Tree Program.
