Description

Provides individualized benefits counseling support to people who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) via the Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) program. Counseling support is provided by Community Work Incentives Coordinators (CWIC) who will help participants understand how work will impact their income and healthcare benefits. Participants will be taught how to use work incentives to return to work to increase their financial self-sufficiency.

Description

Provides a link for low-income, older workers to on-the-job training that can help them move into paid employment. Through the Senior Community Employment Service Program (SCSEP), Goodwill matches eligible individuals age 55 and older with nonprofits or public agencies for on-the-job training in a professional work environment. The program gives preference to seniors who have physical or mental disabilities, are veterans or spouses of veterans or who need job training.

Ignite Program

Description

Provides paid job training, free education in high-demand industries and support with a variety of resources along the way in partnership with Bluegrass Community & Technical College. Justice system involvement can include but is not limited to: incarceration, probation or parole, traffic violations, misdemeanors, felonies and other charges/violations that did not result in incarceration.
