Provides a program for adults with severe mental illness who require care for less than 24 hours per day, but more than outpatient counseling in order to ensure that the person with a psychiatric disability possesses the skills needed to live, learn, and work in his or her own community. The facilities provided for the program within the Lawrence County Outpatient site include a Group Room where clients may stay for various activities when not engaged in individual psychotherapy as well as a kitchen area where meals can be prepared and served, a laundry, private bathrooms and access to a back patio with picnic tables and an outdoor yard. Services offered to clients include improving their daily living skills such as meal planning, drawing up a grocery list, cooking and completion of other chores; instruction in financial literacy such as creating a budget and participation in a variety of community projects guided by a community support specialist.
