Special Notes/Funding

The food pantry operates as a pickup service with clients remaining in their vehicles to complete the application process and to receive food. The food pantry is located in the Wurtland Church of God Focus Center across the street from the main church building.

Description

Provides food to Greenup County residents in need at no charge. Food is provided by donations from local bakeries, grocery stores and the area food banks River Cities Harvest and Facing Hunger Foodbank. Clients meeting government household income guidelines are also eligible to receive commodity foods from Kentucky's Emergency Feeding Assistance Program (EFAP) in addition to the regular food pantry items.

Third Thursday of each month 10:00 am-12:00 noon (EST)

Required Documents

Please bring with you or include in application: * Photo ID * Proof of residency such as current utility bill * Proof of income * Completed application form

Must be a resident of Greenup County and meet household income requirements

Intake Procedure

Drive up to the carport at the church's Focus Center and remain in vehicle to complete application with required documents as requested and pantry staff will load the food into the vehicle
