Description

Provides a short-term residential alternative to inpatient hospitalization for children from 8 to 17 years of age who are experiencing a mental health crisis and require 24-hour support in a supervised environment to become stabilized, but do not exhibit medical complications that necessitate hospitalization.

Eligibility

Must have/meet: * Youth from 8 to 17 years of age * Be in crisis * Able to perform expected activities of daily living * Be medically stable * Have a clear plan of residence or placement upon stabilization/discharge

Description

Provides on-site residential programs that help children between 8 and 17 years of age who have histories of mood disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, dual diagnosis of psychiatric and substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder and children on autism spectrum that are verbal and communicative.
