This crisis program provides assistance to eligible households experiencing a home heating crisis across various fuel types, including electric, natural gas, propane, coal, wood and fuel oil. Winter Crisis requires a disconnect notice, past due bill or eviction notices.

Provides electric service payment assistance programs that help pay the electric bills of people whose electricity has been or is at risk of being disconnected, or provides non-emergency subsidy programs in which households receive predetermined amounts that are sent directly to their utility provider.

The transportation service of Northeast Kentucky Community Action Agency Service cannot be provided to some residents of Boyd and Greenup Counties based on the person's address if the location falls within the territory of another urbanized transit system such as the Ashland Bus System. Description
Provides flexibly scheduled, curb-to curb or door-to-door transportation services for the general public that can take riders to locations such as school, work, adult and childcare centers, medical facilities and recreational destinations. Patrons generally live in a rural area not served by a public transit system. The bus service can also provide clients with a connection to the Greyhound Bus stop in Ashland, KY as well as a connection to get to the Lexington, KY Bluegrass Airport.

Description
Provides in-person assistance by trained staff known as kynectors to help people apply for healthcare insurance through the State-Based Marketplace, and when eligible, apply for health insurance premium assistance, Medicaid, or the Kentucky Children's Health Insurance Program. Kynectors can also help people begin an application for SNAP or CCAP, recertify benefits or report changes in information.

Description
Provides assistance to help low-income homeowners or renters lower utility costs and reduce energy waste by making their homes more energy efficient, as well as make minor home repairs for health and safety reasons. Trained inspectors and crews retrofit housing for eligible families if initial inspection determines the dwelling can be adequately modified. The work includes installing insulation, air sealing, door weather stripping, window caulking, seal and insulate duct work, and replacing heating equipment where necessary.
